First day of Frist grade...

oh my goodness.. where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday I was told I was going to have my first grandchild... 6 years later I have 7 wonderful blessings ... the oldest in 1st grade... Maddie, YaYa loves you to the moon and back.. Make it a fantastic year!!

It's not complete...

yet... but it will be by Sunday. I just couldn't wait to post a few photos of this project... It all started with Maddie.. I painted her a rocking chair in her mom's college colors.. Good Old Carolina Blue... added her footprint, dated the underside... then came Sophia, Zeke, Ben, Jace, Connor and Ellie... I'm a bit behind.. but will strive to complete all chairs by Connor and Ellie's first birthday... which gives me until Feb... wish me luck..

This is Ben's chair.. he was the first I let help paint... Maybe I should let the others .. hmmm.. I did paint Zeke's foot and thumb for his Tarheel print.. so continued that with Ben... not sure what I'm doing with the other chairs.. Sophia definitely does not want Carolina Blue.... she's a yellow girl... so, no foot print there.. or... will there be?? Stay tuned to see what YaYa does!!

And.... it's a vacation...

NOT... okay, okay... we're not big on vacations.. I loved it when my kids were growing up.. however, we never stayed more than 4 nights anywhere.... I don't mind a day or 2.. at most... but, this beats anything in length.. or lack there of.. in our history.. ever...

Rick and I got up this morning and decided to drive to get peaches... an hour there.. 30 minutes choosing peaches.. potty break.. and an hour back home.. that's it.. pretty much sums up or summer fun.. yea, we're a great fun couple.. really... we are... just ask anyone... ha!

Welcome Ya'll...

I have these cute flags .. one is a big flag that hangs by my garage door .. the other is a garden flag that I've put in the front flower bed by the steps.... they are both black, white, green and pink. sounds awful doesn't it? For some reason it works.. maybe it's what the flag says... "Welcome Ya'll".... and that's exactly how I feel.. Welcome to my home, welcome to my family... welcome... ya'll... so, in order to make it all tie in together I had to make a wreath.. right? ... final touches will be added after I make a Michael's run... maybe tomorrow... Welcome, Ya'll...

I used hot pink and green 3 inch wide ribbon with black and white 24" ribbon to make several bows.. I then attached them to a form made from a pool noodle... I like my wreaths big.. and I mean.. B.I.G.

July 8 already? Where does the time go? Nothing really going on here at the Little house.. except cleaning.. ha... spending time with the kids.. and friends! Hope you have a wonderful, productive week!
